Just wanted to show you what's right next door to the Habitat house. Not one but two of those quaint water tower/smoke houses (no longer used). The building right beside them is a daycare that's also no longer used except... the owner is generously letting us use the building for shady brakes. It also means we have actual flush bathrooms!!! (Using a port-a-potty in Texas heat is an act of desperation!)Top right, the first of the two ceiling beams over the living room/kitchen is being hoisted into place.
Bottom left - someone (imagine you can guess who) is willing to take an after lunch nap anywhere he can.
Bottom right - the local power company once again donated the use of their boom, plus the crew to operate it, to drop the trusses into place. No more pictures of that? You've seen one go up, you've seen them all. The wiser of the non-truss crew decided instead to shop the local thrift shops. (I've been looking for swim suits for us Susan, but have seen nary a one - too hot and dry for swimming I guess. However, I did manage to find a couple of things.)
